NOTARIES

General Information

The Consular Section provides notarial services, including certifications of true copies, the administration of oaths, and powers of attorney.

There is generally a fee of $30 U.S. dollars (12 Omani Rials) for the first notarization (seal) and $20 U.S. dollars (8 Omani Rials) for each additional notarization (seal). Applicants for notarial services should bring their passports and other forms of identification.

Please note that Embassy personnel are unable to authenticate educational documents and civil registry documents that have not been first authenticated by the U.S. Department of State (see the Department's Office of Authentications website for more information).
